about.
Alexis Jenssen is a painter and multidisciplinary artist whose work is rooted in traditional techniques and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship. She received her BFA from Oregon College of Art & Craft in Portland, Oregon, where she studied painting, drawing, and ceramics and developed a strong foundation in classical materials and studio practice.
Her work explores the relationship between art, design, and everyday life, drawing on both fine art traditions and contemporary visual culture. Jenssen’s artistic training continues to inform everything she creates, from paintings and objects to the spaces and brands she helps shape.
In addition to her studio practice, Jenssen is the founder of The Bowerbird Agency, a strategy-led marketing consultancy for small businesses, and the co-owner of North Left: A Modern Mercantile, a curated shop that celebrates independent makers and thoughtfully crafted goods.
Across her work, she is guided by a belief that beauty, craftsmanship, and intentional design have a meaningful place in daily life.
